This work begins to address concerns many of us have about the digital world. The text, ephemerally created with electrical current and quickly destroyed when the power is shut off, clearly states its own reality. The text is in a constant instability, similar to much data existing on computers or the internet. The frankness of its message also confronts the viewer: what is conceptual? Is it conceptual art? How can the entire piece be conceptual if one can touch it? What is the text? What is the piece’s lifespan?
